How long have you lived in Orange County? All my life, born and raised.
Tell us about your family: Married to my husband Devin for 9 years this July, but we’ve been together for far longer! We have one child so far, our son Asher, who is almost 1 year old. We want to add to our family, but can’t agree on the number of kids! 2 (me) or 4 (him)..we’ll probably split the difference at 3!
Current/Previous career: Full time SAHM as of February this year. I previously worked in office administration roles, my last one was with an estate planning law firm/comprehensive wealth management firm.
What did you want to be “when you grow up”? I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer! I loved swimming and was in the water whenever I could be, and would race laps against my friends. Some things never change, because I still love to be in the water.
What is the furthest you have been away from home? I’ve been to the French Polynesia islands of Tahiti and Moorea, which are located in the South Pacific Ocean. This was a special vacation for our honeymoon.
What is your favorite thing to do? I love to read! I have an obsession with books and visiting bookstores or libraries. Naturally my home bookshelves are overflowing and my “to be read pile” is never-ending and always growing.
What is something about you that someone may not know? I’m a certified open water scuba diver. We completed our certification dives when we were in Tahiti.
What is your favorite local restaurant to eat at? What is your go to order? This is tough because I like a lot of different food! Mexican is one of my top go-tos, and I really love Avila’s El Ranchito off of Muirlands. Fresh guacamole, bean and cheese burrito and rolled chicken tacos. Yum!
What is the best thing about living in Orange County? All the different parks. We have several within walking distance.
What is your favorite color? I have two, green and pink!
What is your favorite song or artist? A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion
What TV shows are you currently watching? Not watching anything at the moment, although we’ve been in the middle of some shows like House of the Dragon and a rewatch of Castle. When Ahsoka comes out on Disney+ we’ll definitely watch that!
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or what is your pet peeve? My dad used to race stock cars (think NASCAR type) and I would go to his races and spot for him in the stands. This means I would be on a headset communicating to him where other cars were in relation to his going around the curves.
If someone had to describe you in one word, what would it be and why? I asked my husband to help me with this one, and at first he said that was impossible. But then after thinking for a minute he said my word would be dedicated, because I’m a dedicated mom and wife.
How did you find FIT4MOM South OC? I had joined a Lake Forest Moms Facebook group and saw a post for F4M. It wasn’t until the second or third time that I saw such a post that I decided to check it out!
How has FIT4MOM South OC changed your life? It’s gotten me out of the house and out of my comfort zone! I love the chance to get to connect with other moms. I’ve become stronger and am motivated to continue working out to stay healthy.
What was the first class that you attended? What was the last class that you attended? October 3, Amanda and Ciera teaching Stroller Strides at Pittsford Park! The last one was July 21, Stroller Strides with Sarah at Aliso Viejo.
What is your favorite workout move or class layout? What workout move or class layout makes you feel strong? I like any combination moves that work arms and legs at the same time; these make me feel strong!
What vacation destination is on your bucket list? I’d like to visit Japan someday
Are you a pool or beach girl? Both! Plus lake.
Do you prefer summer months or winter months? Summer. I hate the time change and early dark.
What is your favorite thing about Summer time? Getting to eat ice cream and not freeze while eating it.
