INGREDIENTS
- 1 TBSP ground flaxseed
- 1/2 TBSP maple syrup
- 1 cup milk of your choice
- 1/2 TBSP nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 slices whole-grain bread
TOPPINGS
- 2 cups fresh berries
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
- Whisk together flaxseed, maple syrup, milk, nutritional yeast, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
- Transfer mixture into a bowl large enough to accommodate dipping bread slices.
- Spray your pan with cooking spray or the oil of your choice and heat on a medium temperature.
- Quickly dip slices of bread into the mixture.
- Cook until browned on each side. Toast may be brown on the outside and soft in the middle but it will set more as it cools.
- Top with fresh berries and chopped walnuts.
